Job Summary
The Unit Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to construction site management and office staff. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, and supporting daily operations to ensure efficient workflow between the field and office teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize project files, contracts, permits, and construction documents
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with data entry, timekeeping records, and payroll documentation
- Coordinate communication between project managers, site supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Prepare reports, logs, and spreadsheets related to project activities
- Schedule meetings, inspections, and appointments as required
- Monitor office and site supply inventory and place orders when needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and construction regulations
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and answering phones
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- Previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in construction or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Familiarity with construction terminology is an asset
Pay: $22.13 – $26.65 per hour
