Full job description
Social Media & Content Fellow
Take Back Trust | Remote | $25/hour | 5–10 hours per week
About Take Back TrustTake Back Trust (TBT) is an education and empowerment platform helping people navigate and protect their reproductive healthcare—no matter the political landscape. Founded by an OBGYN Physician Assistant and advocate, TBT provides accessible, trauma-informed tools like Know Your Rights guides, provider-planning toolkits, emergency care scripts, and Charley the chatbot connecting users to abortion care nationwide. We believe that informed patients are empowered patients—and that healthcare literacy is a form of resistance.
About the Role We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Intern to help us bring our educational resources to life online. TBT has built a strong brand and community, and now we want to expand our reach by transforming the wealth of information on our website into engaging, scroll-stopping content for social media.
The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for storytelling, a love for reproductive justice and healthcare advocacy, and comfort using AI tools to streamline content creation. You’ll help translate TBT’s trusted resources into Reels, static posts, and carousels—maintaining our existing aesthetic and tone across platforms.
This is a paid, part-time position (5–10 hours per week, $25/hour).
What You’ll Do
- Review and repurpose content from the Take Back Trust website into social-ready pieces (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Create Reels, static posts, and carousels that align with the TBT brand voice and visual identity
- Use AI tools and templates to support content generation and caption writing
- Develop and manage a consistent posting calendar across platforms
- Monitor engagement metrics and help identify new opportunities for connection
- Collaborate directly with TBT’s founder and team to shape campaign strategy and storytelling
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for reproductive rights, healthcare access, and social impact
- Proven experience creating digital or social media content (bonus if you can show a portfolio or links)
- Strong aesthetic sense; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools
- Experience or curiosity about AI-assisted content creation
- Organized, reliable, and self-driven—comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Understanding of social media trends, especially within progressive and advocacy spaces
To Apply Please send an email to takebacktrust@gmail.com:
- A short note introducing yourself and why you’re interested in working with Take Back Trust
- Your resume or LinkedIn profile and social media profile(s)
- 1–3 examples of content you’ve created or a short concept for how you’d turn one of our website topics into a social post (we’ll also invite select applicants to complete a short creative test during interviews)
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis until filled.
