Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Shopify Front and Back End Data Designer to revolutionize our e-commerce platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data structures and integrations that power our Shopify storefront. Your expertise will enable seamless data flow between the front-end user experience and back-end systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Duties

  • Design and implement scalable data models for Shopify storefronts, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Bootstrap, and TypeScript to create engaging UI/UX experiences.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs, Web services, and integrations with third-party platforms such as AWS, Azure, and various databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications using UML diagrams and application development best practices within an Agile SDLC framework.
  • Implement secure data handling procedures utilizing WCF, SOAP, microservices architecture, and REST APIs to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning using Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, TFS, SVN, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database design, API endpoints, UI components, and system architecture for ongoing support and future enhancements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in web development with a focus on Shopify platform customization and integration.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular), TypeScript, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, XML.
  • Solid understanding of back-end development using C#, .NET framework (.NET Core), JavaScript (Node.js), Python or Ruby on Rails.
  • Expertise in database design and management with SQL (T-SQL), PL/SQL for MySQL/PostgreSQL/Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, microservices architecture, AWS cloud services or Azure cloud platform.
  • Familiarity with application development tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse; version control systems like GitHub or TFS; containerization tools like Docker; CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration/deployment.
  • Knowledge of UML modeling techniques for system design; experience with Linux environments; understanding of OOP principles; familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong debugging skills combined with a meticulous approach to testing using unit testing frameworks; ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.46 – $45.00 per hour
